22/2/2003 Blackheath Wanderers 1 D.A.F.C. 5
A lightening strike within two minutes set Drummond on the road to victory and despite a 10 minute spell midway through the first half they were always in control of this difficult game. John Pullen had got Drummond off to the best of starts when after two minutes he slotted home from 6 yards after a superb cross from Mark Grigg. The cross coming from superb link play from Dean Graham. Drummond continued to pile on the pressure but seemed to lose there composure mid-way through the first half. This allowed Blackheath back into the game and they duly equalised after 30 minutes. The second half however, was all Drummond. Six minutes into it Drummond retook the lead with a fine goal from Dean Graham. The third came ten minutes later when Rab Anderson powered home a header from a corner by Sean Joyce. This goal prompted the home supporters to turn against their side and they were soon heading for the exits! Drummond continued to press and were rewarded with further goals from Sean Joyce (a lucky deflection) and Dave Braddick (following a goal mouth scramble). On the whole a very impressive display that keeps Drummond firmly on top of the pile.
